Blue Chip Orchestra Was based in 1988 by Austrian musicians Khubertom By bognermayrom (06.04.1948 - 17.03.1999) and Harold tsushrader, former participants in simfo-fate- group Eela Craig.
In their works Blue Chip Orchestra they used
ritual of pesnopeniya of Indian shamans, flute, rattle, drums and sounds of natural origin (thunder reelings, rain, the crack of branches in the burning bonfire), and it is also special for them the prepared tools like the "reflecting harp", the "specular drums", the "Danube tube", the "sonic sails" and the like in combination with modern electronic Sound. Bognermayr answered in the ensemble for the synthesizers and semlirovaniye, Tsushrader fulfilled the parties of guitar, key-actuated and percussion; programming and information of records they achieved in the tandem.
The first album, named and group, "Blue Chip Orchestra", was released per year of base; three years later appeared "Blue Danube", unique tyuey trib'yut to European classical composers. "White River, Red Spirit" (1997), is blown by the culture of the natives of America, in which it was published by year later by the name "Red Sky Beat".
Editorial Reviews
For all that Native American music (and art, and culture, ad nauseum) is all the rage these days, it's still pretty unusual to come across a recording that at least tries to incorporate elements of that music without destroying it. At first, one would hesitate to bet on Blue Chip Orchestra, an Austrian group that likes to play with electronics. But Red Sky Beat works surprisingly well, with a light touch on the synthesizers and much attention paid to musicality. A synth bass pairs off with a sung melody; electronic sounds, bubbly as a glass of champagne, complement a flute; there are acoustic and electronic drums and percussion and natural sounds that might or might not be computer-generated. That two such apparently disparate forms of music are even brought together on one recording places Red Sky Beat in a select group; that for the most part the result is successful places the CD in a class by itself. --Genevieve Williams

or those who truly appreciate Native American culture..., March 22, 2006 By Ursula Raphael "astradaemon" (Western Michigan, USA)
First of all, this entire CD tells a Dakota myth of creation - every track is part of the story...with that in mind, it makes perfect sense to have tracks that contain elements such as winds and fire crackling. If you are looking for something that is strictly music, don't buy this CD - there is plenty of other new age electronica to choose from.
If you enjoy going to pow-wows, and other Native American events, you will appreciate the detail put into this album. This isn't just a CD you pop into your car for background noise - this is a journey you become a part of.
I loved this album so much, when my son was being delivered into this world, we had this CD playing...I think track#6 was playing when he actually made his appearance...anyway, if you are trying to expose your children to different cultures and music, this is a good album to start with. My son is only 7 mos old now, but he loves listening to every track.
I have yet to find another album I enjoy as much as this one, for this particular genre.
Takes Your Breath Away!, May 8, 2000 By "nyrube" (Culver City, CA USA)
If you are thinking about getting into Native American music, start here. This group is not only original, but each song on this cd is very different. They can move you fast, slow you down, pick you up, or ease you mind. If you are a Native American cd collector, this one is a must for your collection. Buy it and enjoy it over and over again.

Gather round the fire now!, June 2, 2001 By PHP 46 (Taj Mahal)
Hard to believe this is the product of some folks from Austria..in fact, this could well be the last item from them as I understand, as the main brain behind this is now dead :( Really though, this is a wonderful statement of combining Plains Indian music and chants with some more western interpretation. I assume that a lot of it is authentic field recordings, complete with the crackle of flames and popping of coals in the fire and a huge thunderstorm that you better watch out for, as it will about blow yer speakers right out of the cabinet when it Kabooms!! Beautiful images of Indian civilisation are present in the soundscape, you feel like you were there for an hour or so. A really lovely armchair trip to the past, not in the same league as say R. Carlos Nakai, but very, very satisfying.
Powerful, Moving, Stirring, Haunting, June 26, 1999
This is the most powerful and moving Native American/Contemporary blend CDs I have listened to yet. It is far better than Cusco's light and airy Apurimac III. It touchs your inner emotions. It is one of my favorite CDs.
